October 2014    Nearly there!

DSCF0529The maintenance and ground works continues in the Playing Field. Other than a little noise from the Dumper truck little disruption has prevented the community from using the facilities.
As the photo’s illustrate, the Cycle track is almost complete. Tarmac laid this morning. Cycle track open afternoon planned, watch this space for further DSCF0523details. Thank you for your patience while the work continues.DSCF0525DSCF0534DSCF0527DSCF0528

October 2014  Halloween coffee morning & pumpkin carving

On the 30th adults and children alike creatively carved and scooped 35 pumpkins.  The event was supported by Playing Field friends and neighbours from High Bickington, Atherington and the surrounding areas.  A successful community event with all ages enjoying the spooky atmosphere and Halloween fun.
Guess the name of the Dragon ‘Seth’ was won by Maureen and guess how many sweets in a jar? ’41’ was won by Fin.
Approx £180 was raised with all proceeds going towards the on-going maintenance of the field including the planned improvements for the car park area.
